U.S. Ambassador to NATO Ambassador Kay Bailey Hutchison Travels to the United States and United Kingdom

Brussels, Belgium – U.S. Ambassador to NATO Ambassador Kay Bailey Hutchison will travel to Texas and London April 5 – 11.

On April 5 and 6, she will accompany NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on his visit to Texas.  She will join him in a town hall at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas on April 5.  They will also visit the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II production plant in Fort Worth, Texas.  On April 6, Ambassador Hutchison will visit the 80th Flying Training Wing at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas to attend with Secretary General Stoltenberg the graduation of Allied pilots participating in the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training Program.

In London on April 10, Ambassador Hutchison will participate in a joint address with U.K. Ambassador to NATO Ambassador Sarah MacIntosh before the Royal United Services Institute.  She will also meet with senior officials at the U.K. Ministry of Defense.  On April 11, Ambassador Hutchison will meet separately with U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom Robert Wood Johnson and the incoming NATO Chairman of the Military Committee and current U.K. Chief of Defense Air Chief Marshall Sir Stuart Peach.  She will also speak with British diplomats at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s Diplomatic Academy.
